Scott Crabtree, CEO & Chief Happiness Officer,

As the Founder and Chief Happiness Officer at Happy Brain Science, Scott Crabtree empowers individuals and organizations to apply findings from cutting-edge neuroscience and psychology to boost productivity and happiness at work.

His _repeat_ clients include DreamWorks, Nike, Kaiser-Permanente, Boeing, Intel, Hewlett-Packard, Activision, Blizzard Entertainment, and NBC. His insights have been quoted in First Round Review, Fast Company, Inc., InfoWorld, Fortune, and VentureBeat among other publications.

In his 25-year career, Scott has served as a leader in game development and software engineering. He’s founded startups and worked at a variety of technology companies large and small. In early 2012, he resigned his position as Tech Strategist at Intel to pursue his passion full time: helping people apply science to be happier and more successful.

Scott holds a B.A. in Cognitive Science from Vassar College.

When he is not immersed in scientific data or coaching executives, he loves spending time with his wife and two young daughters, especially in nature, and also enjoys playing with his band. He lives in Portland, Oregon.

A “Jill-Of-All-Trades” with a high sense of responsibility, Cathy Jimenez ensures that whatever is needed by our Chief Happiness Officer, Scott, and their clients is done efficiently and with quality!

With almost 20 years of experience in software development, project/people/customer support management, she has found joy in applying her strengths for Happy Brain Science. She loves to help out people and teams by understanding their needs and working with them to get to a unique solution that is a win for everyone concerned.

An experienced presenter and facilitator to clients such as Intel, Boeing, and Universal Studios Group to name a few, Cathy presents Happy Brain Science sessions in Asia and around the world.

Truly a busy bee, she also works as a freelance project manager aside from being a wife to her husband, and a mom of two highly energetic young men. She lives in the beautiful island of Cebu, Philippines.

In addition, Kim provides strategic support to facilitate Happy Brain Science’s mission. Kim brings 15+ years of nonprofit program management experience to her role—including extensive partnerships with schools, businesses, and government agencies—which she leverages to create effective systems and provide insights about organizational needs.

Kristen Toohill ,
Intern and Author

Kristen Toohill believes that games are powerful tools for organizational development. She writes books that use the interactivity and immersion of games to solve issues that face organizations today, such as reducing unconscious bias and learning 21 st century human skills through games.

She is currently co-authoring with Scott Crabtree a book tentatively titled All Work and Some Play: The Scientific Case for Playing Games at Work, which explores the why and how of play at work. That book is currently scheduled for launch in March of 2020.

She has worked in the video game industry as a Quality Assurance Tester and SCRUM Master on an MMORPG (massively-multiplayer online role-playing game). She has also done organizational development + games work for Green Tree Games and Revelian. Additionally, Kristen has performed qualitative research within the technological mining and comic book industries.

Kristen received her Master’s degree in Business Innovation from Northeastern University and her Bachelor’s in Humanistic Psychology and Business Management from Lesley University. Currently, Kristen is a doctoral student in the Leadership PsyD program at William James College.
